The opportunity to join in celebration with our invaluable stakeholders and principally, the great and vast Claude McKay High School family, bonded over three and a half decades by one significant, life- shaping experience, is obviously one to be embraced wholeheartedly and with much thanksgiving. There is indeed much cause for anticipation and excitement as together we work and make elaborate plans to come together for this signal, once- in a life- time occasion.
Motto Participation, Perseverance For Production
Vice Principal Mr. E. Whyte (2011-present)
We are grateful to God for making our School what i term as "the theatre of His grace" on a daily basis. He has taken our effort, though enfeebled and defective at times, transforming it into greate miracles for the greater good of our school family. With divine protection, we sow with a vision, dream big dreams with our stake holders, and make necessary changes- thereby multiplying the positive efforts of the past in the present which will rebound to a brighter and prosperous future.
Vision Empowering every learner for success through the mastery of social skills and the development of his/her special package of intellect, talents or vocational skills.
Dean of Discipline Mr. J. Smith
Our thrust at this institution is to create an atmosphere that is safe and secure so that you will be free to participate fully and excel in an ambiance that is free from turmoil and animosity. The school environment can only be conducive to learning to the extent that maladaptive students are transformed and acts of indiscipline are kept check. It is therefore important that my role be seen as extremely vital, almost inevitable and above all, a student friendly one, since without the right context or peace and good order, it will be impossible for any student to maximize the great learning opportunities presented at Claude McKay.
To work assiduously as a unified cadre of educators to guarantee a high leave of literacy and, based on available resources, foster the highest possible level of social development, skills training and academic achievement of every student as we prepare him or her for harmonious integration with productive society for personal success and the advancement of the nation.
